WHY USE HOME ENERGY SERVICES?

All of our various home energy services have one goal in mind: to lower your utility bills. If your home is well-insulated and your furnace or other heating appliance is running as efficiently as possible, it will cost less to heat your home. There are also other things you can do to increase energy efficiency in your home.

WE CAN HELP LOWER YOUR HEATING BILL

All of our Home Energy Services start with an energy audit of your home. We'll test your furnace or other heating appliance, and also look at your home's insulation. We'll check your windows and doors, too, to determine if they're letting heat escape.

Through a partnership with regional utility companies, MYCAP may be able to perform various weatherization services on your home, including installing new insulation. Since this program began, MYCAP has weatherized over 9,000 homes in Mahoning County.

Depending on its condition, your furnace or other heating appliance may be tuned up or replaced. And we'll show you additional ways you can save money and energy that are specific to you and your home.

All of these services are free to eligible Mahoning County residents.
